City Heights: Stories of Resilience

Throughout the pandemic, business owners in City Heights especially faced seemingly insurmountable challenges. Pueblo partnered with City Heights CDC to honor these stories of local business owners. Pueblo interviewed, photographed, and produced a film highlighting eight local business owners’ stories of overcoming the tribulations of staying in business during a social shutdown. The film premiered at El Borrego Restaurant where guests were greeted with a red carpet and standing portraits of the business owners. In honoring these business owners, elected officials and philanthropic organizations were able to witness the impact of their policies and investments.
