West Hollywood Climate Action and Adaptation Plan
Pueblo worked with the City of West Hollywood to create their Climate Adaptation and Action Plan. Pueblo utilized in-depth one-on-one storytelling sessions with Tongva people and non-Tongva urban indigenous people to understand their lived experiences, needs, ideas, and vision for the future within the context of climate change and adaptation. Pueblo received participant consent to record these interviews and then created an audio collage of the participants to represent the community’s voice. These storytelling sessions help shape and inform the City of West Hollywood’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan to address climate change and allowed the City of West Hollywood to learn directly from indigenous community members about key practices, principles, and actionable steps that could be taken towards a restorative relationship to both places and people whose homelands is where West Hollywood is today.
