Legacies of the Street

With support from California Humanities for the Arts, Pueblo partnered with community members in the West Adams neighborhood in Los Angeles and the UC Davis Feminist Research Institute to explore how storytelling can influence planning decisions in the built environment and impact the community. Pueblo partnered with local residents to co-design and implement a wheat paste mural under a freeway overpass. The mural documented the community’s history of the built environment and also served as an act of reclaiming public space.
